JOB DESCRIPTION – SALES MANAGER
Sales managers lead a sales team by providing guidance, training and mentorship, setting sales quotas and goals, creating sales plans, analyzing data, assigning sales territories and building their team. He/She will report directly to the General Manager.
Objectives of this Role
• Develop strategic plans for Business development and increase in revenue of the company.
• Review and improve organizational Profits by developing new clients, new sales strategies, and creating innovative approaches for improvement in Sales.
• Uphold standards of excellence and soaring quality.
• Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
• Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan (yearly) that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.
• Meeting planned sales goals as set monthly.
• Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.
• Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
• Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
• Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
• The ongoing training of your salespeople.
• Developing your own sales team through motivation, counselling, and product knowledge education.
• Promoting the organization and products.
• Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.
• Organising Monthly clients visit
• Covering all the states of India and developing more clients outside the country
• Developing excellent business relationship with the clients and customers.
• Paper documentation for exports, some compulsory licenses required by the company
• Maintaining and developing the Sales material for the company.
• Updating the websites for any change in the company
• Submission of Tenders
• Responsible to create following regular documents
a. Work Order
b. Material Dispatch Report
c. Sales Invoice
d. Sample dispatch report
e. Annual/quarterly returns of Narcotics & FSSAI
• Updating of below records in Microsoft teams as and when need arrives
a. Customer list
b. Product list with codes
c. TDS
d. MSDS
e. Sample dispatch
• Reports required to be submitted to reporting manager as below: -
a. Monthly Sales report
b. Quarterly Sales report
c. Annual Sales report
d. Weekly Debtors list
e. Annual Sales plan for next year
Management Requirements
• Any task or work including multiple assignments to be performed in timely manner. Completion of assigned task and/or work to be discussed and completion date and time to be defined accordingly by General Manager to reporting Manager.
• Sales Manager to give priority to any task and/or work assigned by reporting Manager.
• Any showstopper, shutdowns or critical issue hindering completion of any assigned task in specified timeline to be informed immediately to reporting Manager for resolution.
• The Sales Manager must be able to define options, solutions during halt or any hinderance in any task and/or work assigned related to client interface.
• The Sales Manager must have the ability to motivate and lead people and hold employees accountable for their task and/or work.
• The Sales Manager must have strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
• The Sales Manager must be Honest and Dedicated towards growth of the company.
• The Sales Manager must maintain a professional, unbiased work culture to communicate with all the team members inside the company in a proficient and polite manner.
