Job description

Proven experience in SAW welding.

Knowledge of welding symbols, procedures, and safety standards.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Strong understanding of heat control, material properties, and distortion control.

Certification in welding (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) is a plus.

Responsibility

Perform Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) operations on structural and industrial components.

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.

Set up and adjust SAW equipment, voltage, amperage, and travel speed.

Inspect and ensure weld quality, penetration, and adherence to standards.

Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections, including grinding and cleaning.

Maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with welding codes (AWS, ASME, etc.).

Troubleshoot welding defects and make necessary adjustments.

Work with mild steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials as required.

Collaborate with the fabrication and quality teams for efficient workflow.
